Strings Who Sing: a String Quartet Reimagined with original music by Flight Or Visibility

Inspired by the legacies of Rhiannon Giddens, Abel Selacoe, Carla Kihlstedt, and Laurie Anderson, Strings Who Sing features four singer-songwriters who accompany themselves on bowed string instruments playing in ensemble together. This project is the longtime dream of Boston-based artist and organizer Flight Or Visibility, who has written most of the music for the ensemble. With up to 4 vocal notes and 8 string notes happening simultaneously at any given moment, the singing string quartet is uniquely able to provide lush orchestral textures, tender moments, and nature sounds without the use of any special effects. This concert will be Strings Who Sing’s live performance debut!

Ft. Flight Or Visibility (Violin), Clara Rose (Violin), Nora Borealis (Viola), Valerie Thompson (Cello)

This concert will also be ASL interpreted.
