WHAT?
The Boston Fringe is the first and only Fringe Festival in Boston, Massachusetts!
The Boston Fringe is a one-week festival championing new work.
The Boston Fringe hosts performances of all levels, amateur to professional, in various genres, un-censored, un-curated, and completely original.
WHEN?
Monday May 10 – Sunday, May 16, 2027
Where?
The Boston Fringe started in Davis Square in Somerville, MA, at The Rockwell. It now takes place at 4 different locations.
The Rockwell, an underground black-box theater that seats 200.
Dragon’s Lair, a pristine event space connected to Dragon Pizza
Dente’s Barber Shop, a barber shop turned performance hall for the weekend
Arts At The Armory, a non-profit arts center with three venues.
WHAT ARE TICKET PRICES?
Ticket prices will be announced soon.
HOW MUCH IS IT TO PERFORM & SUBMIT?
There is a $30 non-refundable fee to submit.
This contributes directly to production, marketing, and supplies for the festival.
Unfortunately, we cannot afford to waive this fee.
If accepted into the festival, there is an additional production fee.
The Production Fee depends on the venue selected.
The Production Fee ranges from $180-$450.
Timeline
Application Opens: Sunday, October 18, 2026 at 12:00 PM EST
Applications Closes: Friday, December 18, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST
Artist Confirmations: Sunday, January 10, 2027
Contracts & Production Fees Due: Sunday, January 17, 2027
Fringe Schedule Released: Tuesday, February 16, 2027
Tech Rehearsals: May 10 – 16, 2027
Boston Fringe: May 10-16, 2027
