Laura Cortese is a singer-songwriter, fiddler, and musical instigator whose work bridges folk tradition and bold contemporary sound. She is the bandleader, principal songwriter, and lead singer of Laura Cortese & the Dance Cards, performs an intimate, high-energy solo show, and plays in duo with her partner Bert Ruymbeek. Now based in Belgium, she is a recipient of the Flanders Folk Award.
