FAQ

PLEASE BE AWARE OF SCAMS!

Note that we use OpenDate, SeeTickets, and TicketSpice. We will not ask you to confirm information, unless from a @rockwell.org account.

We do not accept third-party tickets.

Do you have a box office to avoid fees?

Unfortunately, as a small business we don’t have the staff for a box office during the day — yet! But rest assured that the fees help our venue and promoters continue to do their best work. The fees go to paying graphic designers, buying ink, paper, printing posters, and more! Thank you for your understanding and support.

Do you have a bag or coat check?

We do not have a formal bag or coat check. There is enough space for you to put your bag and or coat by your chair for seated shows or on a seat for standing shows. Please note, any bags may be inspected upon entry to ensure safety.

Are backpacks allowed?

We understand many folks are coming from work and may have their backpack with them. This is allowed, but please note backpacks and bags may be inspected upon entry to ensure safety.

Are shows seated or standing?

There are 145 fixed seats in the space at all times, and depending on the show the center is kept open for standing shows (most concerts) or seats are added into the center for a more intimate experience (most comedy shows). At any concert, you will be able to find a seat.

Is there cell service & wifi?

Cellular service is spotty in our basement, so please take this into consideration for calls and coordinating with others. We do however offer free wifi so you can locate your tickets or message others when inside.

Are shows All Ages, 18+, or 21+?

All night-time shows on Fridays and Saturdays are 21+ unless specifically noted. Shows on Sundays-Thursdays and Saturday Matinees are either All Ages with a suggested age or 18+, unless otherwise noted.

Is the Rockwell ADA Accessible?

Yes, The Rockwell has access to an elevator through the Gorin Building (the glass foyer to the right of the Rockwell/Saloon staircase entrance) which takes one from the Ground floor to the Basement floor where the Rockwell theater is located. There is easy ability to accommodate wheelchair seating as well. The restrooms are a little more difficult but there is access to a larger restroom down the hall in Saloon. A Rockwell employee can direct you easily.

Do you have parking onsite?

Parking is tough! We recommend Grove Street, Day Street, and Buena Vista Parking Lots which can be found on Google Maps. Meters are free after 8pm.

Is public transit available?

Yes! The closest train station is “Davis Square” off of the Red Line and is a 3-5 min walk from our door. There are also many MBTA buses that stop nearby.
