Couch to Mic is a fast paced comedy performance and writing workshop. Participants will spend four weekly sessions writing and rehearsing their original five minute set. You are coached in a supportive and lively environment by creator and facilitator, Steph Lazenby. All of this leads to week five – a performance in front of a live audience! Stephanie hosts, comedians slay, audiences are entertained and everyone has a fantastic time!
Couch to Mic builds community and expands the definition of stand-up in a creative environment that is safe and inclusive for all people. Workshops are designed to be non-competative with your fellow performers, so each person can develop their own style and be supportive to create a great show.
Here’s what people have to say about their experience:
“It feels so good and terrifying to have butterflies again! Stephanie’s dynamic teaching style made me – and everyone – feel safe as I stretched wildly out of my comfort zone.” — Heather A.
“I have wanted to perform my own material since I was a little kid. Having the chance to finally do so has been a dream come true.” — Nadine H.
If you’re done wondering “what if” and ready to test your limits, sign up for C2M and make your creative dream come true.
