Brother Guy w/ Jabbawaukee

Come to the Rockwell for a night of psychedelic funk jams that will knock your socks right off! Jabbawaukee from Rhode Island and Brother Guy from Massachusetts are both making waves in the northeast jam scene and are ready to make your booty shake at the Rockwell on March 19th! Come one come all to a magical evening of tasty grooves and face melting solos.

Over the last 7 years, Jabbawaukee has staked their claim as one of the top jam / funk bands in New England. Heiring from RI and MA, the quartet consists of bassist/ vocalist Brendon “Low B” Bjorness-Murano, guitarist & vocalist Dave Hobson, keyboardist & vocalist Jack Skiffington and drummer & vocalist Stu Taylor. The band released their self-produced debut full length LP “Family Tree” in late 2021, followed by the release of the video for their first single, “Ting Pop (Time Flys By)” as well as their second single “Day Roll By”, featuring Dan Moretti on saxophone (Chic, Robert Plant, Aretha Franklin, Dr. John, Chaka Khan) off of the same album. That was later followed by a single release of a cover of Grateful Dead’s song “New Speedway Boogie”, funked up as only Jabbawaukee could do. In 2024 they released the live album “Live Worms: Live at Wormtown 2023” and are presently working on their newest album “Late Night Early Morning”. All of their music can be found on all major streaming platforms.

Jabbawaukee was nominated for Motif’s “Best RI Jam Band” in 2018, 2019 and won it in 2023, 2024 and 2025 , “Best Band” in the New London Area in 2019, in The Day, having their single “Moonlight” played in regular rotation on JEMP radio and opening for such national acts as Twiddle, Spafford, Hayley Jane & the Primates, Pink Talking Fish, Strange Machines, Deep Banana Blackbelt, Bellas Bartok, Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds, The Mallet Brothers, The Ryan Montebleu Band, Neighbor as well as many others. This along with their crushing sets at Strangecreek, Wormtown (MA), Rose Arts Music festivals (CT), Rhythm & Roots 2019 (RI), Block Island Music Festival (RI), Ziontific Music Festival (MA), NIMfest 2019 (RI) and The Pheno Cup (ME & NH) , Germination (ME), The Ganja Grail @ Harry Brown’s Farm (ME), Summer Jam (ME), Grateful Campout (2021), Riverjam (CT), and their very own festival “JabbaJam” held at Freedom Field in Maine in 2023 solidified them as a stronghold in the Northeast Jam Band Scene. Presently booking 2026 festivals and venues in the Northeast. Look for Jabbawaukee to invade your universe in the coming future!
