POSTED 12/30/16:  Publicity & Audience Services Coordinator
Seeking front-of-house super-star to assist in theater operation in Somerville hotspot.
A new, part-time position in the collection and dissemination of publicity materials, operation of the box office,
general administrative assistance, and to provide staff with support to ensure a superior customer-service
experience.
Collection, creation and dissemination of publicity and marketing materials in conjunction with theater staff,
Director and the Public Relations Director. Such responsibilities would include updating productions and events
on the theater’s website, updating listings on third-party services, creating social media content and events,
updating of physical and electronic signage, creation of press releases, and overseeing the implementation of
street teams for promotion.
Working directly with the Theater Director in the creation and implementation of a new box office, creating and
managing event ticketing data, preparing show reports to management, handling and process guest’s queries and
sale of tickets, organization of a volunteer staff (ushers), providing support and training for front-of-house staff & volunteers, and office/other duties as assigned or required.
HOW TO APPLY:
Requirements:

  • 3-5 years relevant experience in performing arts administration, box office administration, hospitality and/or
    customer service
  • Experience with fiscal responsibilities and relevant management
  • Computer skills in the areas of communications, office work, box office administration, email, spreadsheets,
    graphics, website maintenance and social media.
  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate related experience
  • A Self-starter and efficient problem solver who posses excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills
    with attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, the ability to take direction and work independently in a
    fast-paced environment maintaining a high level of dynamism
  • A flexible work schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays

This is a new, part-time, non-exempt, junior-level position with the potential of job advancement.
Expected work load is 10-15 hours per week with additional hours for training, and varies according to performance
schedule and box office hours. Position requires work during evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Compensation is hourly up to $15/hour based on experience, qualifications, and availability.
Reports directly to the Theater Director and to Rockwell Restaurant Group’s Management.
