SUMMARY:Sh!t-Faced Shakespeare: Romeo & Juliet
DESCRIPTION:Sh!t-Faced Shakespeare: Romeo & Juliet\n\n\n“Call me but love\, and I’ll be new baptized.”\nThere is no love lost between the Capulet and Montague families and everyone in Verona knows it. Certainly the only way to mend centuries of bad blood is by having two forlorn teenagers from opposite households fall in love with each other\, right? Nothing that a swig (or two) of the finest spirits can’t fix! Featuring Shakespeare’s most famous feuding family\, cousins without a cause\, and so many faux deaths it makes daytime TV look good. \n\n\nContent Curious?\nOur shows feature murder\, treason\, war\, violence (personal\, sexual\, and national)\, suicide\, regicide\, incest\, and blasphemy- and that is just the Shakespeare! Our drinker has been known to contribute profanity\, and the occasional bare butt-cheek. If any of this puts you off\, maybe another show is more your speed. \n*Warning: But also\, we do have sword fights\, loud sounds\, and flashing lights if those affect your person.* \n\nAbout Shit-faced Shakespeare®: \nAn entirely serious Shakespeare play\, with an entirely shit-faced cast member. \nThe original\, award winning\, international smash-hit direct from London’s West End to an American theater near you! \nFounded in 2010 in the UK and first arriving on US shores back in 2015. Shit-faced Shakespeare® has delighted audiences all over the States with their highfalutin cocktail of traditional Elizabethan theater and balls-to-the-wall drunken shenanigans. Accept no poor relations\, pale imitations or paltry recreations\, see the authentic Shit-faced Shakespeare® show which started it all. \nFeaturing a revolving cast of Boston’s finest actors\, the choicest cuts of Shakespearian classics and more inebriated antics than you can violently shake a cod piece at. Shit-faced Shakespeare® is the unique theatrical experience that has left audiences roaring in the aisles the world over. \nSOCIAL MEDIA: www.shit-facedshakespeare.us \nTimeline: \nDOORS: 6:15 PM \nSHOW: 7:00 PM \nRUNTIME: 1 hour 15 minutes \nAge Limit: This event is 18+ Fridays and 21+ Saturdays. \nID: Valid ID required for Alcohol Consumption Fridays and Entry Saturdays. \nLimited Late Seating: Due to the architecture of our space\, the entrance is next to the stage and it is disruptive to the performer to enter late. SUMMARY:Charles McBee: "You Had To Be There"
DESCRIPTION:Charles McBee: “You Had To Be There”\n\nSHOW DESCRIPTION: Step into the good old days and laugh your way through them. Comedian Charles McBee takes the stage for a full hour of sharp\, warm\, and wildly funny stand-up about love\, life\, and everything that made the 1900s… well\, the 1900s.\n\nAudiences can’t stop raving\, and it’s easy to see why. Charles brings the same razor-sharp wit that earned him a Writers Guild Award nomination and credits on the MTV Video Music Awards\, the Golden Globes\, and beyond. His knack for finding the comedy in then-versus-now has built him a devoted social media following — and now he’s bringing it all live. \nCome for the laughs. Stay for the memories. You really had to be there. \nARTIST BIO: Charles McBee is a NYC stand-up comedian\, writer\, and unapologetic 80s/’90s baby from Toledo\, Ohio. \nHe’s made three national appearances on Gotham Comedy Live\, was a standout on FOX’s Laughs and Punchline (Seasons 1 & 2)\, and has written for everything from VH1’s Hip Hop Honors to the 2020 VMAs and the 2021 Golden Globes. He most recently served as Head Writer for Comedy Central’s Hell of a Week with Charlamagne Tha God\, earning a Writers Guild Award nomination\, and was a creative consultant on Nick Cannon’s Wild’ N Out. \nCharles has also built a dedicated social media following with his hilarious takes on pop culture\, relationships\, and the beautiful chaos of growing up in the analog era. \nIf you’ve ever eaten a microwave dinner on a folding tray table\, feared getting caught in a game of freeze tag\, or lived through dial-up internet\, Charles has a joke for you.
