SUMMARY:CANCELED: Tinder Live! with Lane Moore
DESCRIPTION:Tinder Live! With Lane Moore is the critically acclaimed comedy show where Moore projects her dating app onto a screen\, swipes through profiles live on stage\, and the audience votes whether she swipes right or left\, to cathartic\, hilarious\, and surprisingly kind results. \nTinder Live has become a much-beloved comedy show\, selling out shows across the U.S. and Canada\, including festivals like SF Sketchfest\, and has a long-running monthly residency in New York City. The show has been named a critics’ pick in The New York Times\, The Atlantic\, Spin Magazine\, The Guardian\, Paper Magazine\, VICE\, Paste Magazine\, Fast Company\, Cosmopolitan\, The Washington Post\, Entertainment Tonight\, Good Morning America\, New York Magazine\, The New York Post\, Time Out\, Huffington Post\, CBS\, and New York Observer. \n  \n“Truly addictive entertainment…it’s ingenious. The way she manipulates tone and pace reveals an artist supremely confident in her form.” —The New York Times\n“Compassionate and hilarious…it’s a smash.” –– Spin Magazine\n“A hilarious comedy show. Moore isn’t cynical about love\, she’s just put in a lot of time in the trenches.” —New York Magazine\n“Tinder Live captures all the magic of this truly ridiculous era in app-based dating in real time. You’ll relate to Moore’s live-swiping and laugh at her reactions and messages to would-be suitors.” — Vulture\, who listed Tinder Live in their list of vital NYC comedy shows \n“Tinder Live makes light of just how absurd and soul-sucking swiping through an endless procession of other human beings can become. Moore expertly steers the crowd from mean-heartedness to substance with each match.” — VICE\n“Smart and hilarious. Tinder Live is this generation’s version of The Dating Game.” — Hello Giggles\n“An anything can happen\, interactive comedy showstopper.” — NBC\n“Moore’s commentary will make you cry laughing. It’s seriously funny.” — CBS\, who called it one of the 5 Best Comedy Shows in NYC\n“[Tinder Live] is a group therapy session\, with Moore making light of the exhaustion\, frustration\, apathy and general nonsense we’ve all had to endure from the popular dating app.” — New York Post\n“Moore started Tinder Live! because she wanted to ‘create an environment that could take this isolating\, depressing as hell experience of trying to find someone amazing in a sea of cocky idiots and turn it into this room full of people who were all in it together.’ And that’s how it felt that night. We weren’t alone. We were all schlepping through this together.” — Huffington Post\n“Brilliant.” — Ellen Degeneres\n“Transforms the otherwise bleak and sometimes even downright horrific modern-day dating experience into a hilarious long-form improv show.” —Gothamist\n“Tinder Live is not just a show\, it’s an event…the show is special. Moore isn’t making cheap digs at guy’s looks or ring collections. She isn’t going for the easy laugh. Her words and responses were funny; but because she made them funny.” —Comedy Cake\n“An interactive\, live-performance\, therapy-comedy show created to help those of us who have submitted to dating online deal with its inherently depressing realities.” – Brooklyn Magazine\nBrightest Young Things called it “the greatest show on earth.”\nTime Out New York called it one of the “Best Comedy Shows By Women In NYC.” \n  \nThis event is All Ages // Valid ID required for alcohol consumption\nDoors 7:00 PM\nShow 8:00 PM \nUNFORTUNATELY\, THERE IS NO LATE SEATING FOR COMEDY & THEATER.\nSeating begins 30-60 minutes before show time. SUMMARY:Nini Iris\, from The Voice
DESCRIPTION:Nini Iris with opener Paloma Dineli Chesky\nNini Iris (NBC The Voice)\n\nFeatured on Billboard\, People & NBC’s The Voice; Season 24’s Top 9 Semifinalist\, Nini Iris\, is coming to perform at the The Rockwell in Somerville\, MA on Thursday\, December 19th. Nini Iris astounded millions with her haunting rendition of Billie Eilish’s “No Time To Die”\, her power ballad version of The Cure’s “Lovesong” and wowed audiences and fans with her show stopping cover of Radiohead’s “Karma Police”.\n\n\nBorn and raised in Tbilisi\, Georgia; Nini Iris grew up in a household that enjoyed listening to only traditional Georgian folk music. While living in Georgia\, she auditioned and performed for Georgia’s XFactor and The Voice\, where she placed as a Top 3 finalist. Almost a decade later\, she auditioned for NBC’s The Voice and placed in the Top 9 of all contestants. While on the show\, Nini gained her US citizenship and in less than 1 year later\, was honored to sing the National Anthem as a new citizen at the first home game for the Kansas City Chiefs vs the Detroit Lions for over 70\,000 fans. Nini Iris’ unique writing and singing style delivers an “old world” charm combined with dark textured overtones\, with an aggressive pop edge. Every one of Nini’s performances are personal and powerful. Nini’s eclectic songwriting and powerhouse vocals leaves fans and listeners at dizzy heights.\n\n\n\n\nThe Voice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuJRI8rJBGI\nWebsite: LINK\n\nPaloma Dineli Chesky (Daughter of Grammy-nominated David Chesky; NYC Philharmonic)\n\n\nPaloma is a unique young artist\, Brazilian-American\, she is not only a powerful performer that dominates the stage and electrifies her audience\, but she is also an incredible songwriter. Critics rave: “Thrilling\, Exciting And Amazingly Attractive Force” (Blues 21.com) “A Voice That Could Stop Traffic” (Steve Hard from Just Jazz) “The Vocal Phenomenon”(Broadway World)\, Bob Legget (LA Music Critic) praises: “Her Music Shows Maturity Way Past her Years” Despite her youth\, Paloma’s vocal maturity is astonishing. Singing\, playing piano\, and composing from a very early age\, for several years Paloma has performed her own compositions with the New York Philharmonic and has held solo concerts at leading NYC venues such as City Winery\, Birdland and\, Dizzy’s Club. Her first album\, Thirteen\, concentrated on her original compositions\, and on her second album\, Soul on Soul she demonstrates the breadth of her repertoire\, reaching back into the gospel\, blues\, and soul traditions performing the songs of Robert Johnson\, Reverend Gary Davis\, James Brown\, and Bob Dylan. Paloma’s sometimes gritty delivery ensures that her interpretations of lyrics are wholly in keeping with the soulful origins of the music. Paloma is a fierce performer\, her presence on stage is absolutely contagious! A fun fact; Paloma is the youngest performer to headline shows at iconic New York venues such as Birdland and City Winery. Paloma is currently producing and experimenting with new styles and currently has an EP on the way.\n\nWebsite: LINK\n\nThis event is All Ages  // Valid ID required for alcohol consumption \nDoors 7:00 PM  \nShow 8:00 PM  \nShow will begin no later than 15 minutes after showtime. \nNO REFUNDS 48 HOURS BEFORE SHOWTIME  \nWheelchair Accessibility: Please call the host at (617) 628-4444 to let you in through the elevator in The Gorin Building. \n

Scaffolding’s sound projects the powerful passion of their artistic live shows into every recording.\nScaffolding (social media): https://www.instagram.com/scaffoldingmusic/\n\nAmerican Ink is a Boston-based alt rock band comprised of drummer Nick Fauza\, guitarist Michael Romano\, and bassist Aidan Crotty. Their debut EP ‘Hand-Drawn Hearts’ and their 2019 album ‘Please Forget You Knew My Name’ explore everything from hardcore punk to acoustic-driven balladry. Mary Menzemer from the online publication Sound of Boston describes their 2019 work as “vulnerable and slightly experimental . . . American Ink somehow successfully manages to stay relatable while creating trendy\, yet nostalgic\, music”. In January 2021\, they released ‘Up Next On…’ which is the bands first self-produced(and self-recorded) album. Mixed and mastered by Nick Fauza\, ‘Up Next On…’ adds a new window of experimental production to American Ink’s already unique sound. American Ink is coming into 2021 with a fanbase that keeps growing and music to match. American Ink cannot \,and will not\, be ignored.\n\nAmerican Ink (social media): https://www.instagram.com/weareamericanink/\n\n\nMunde is an alternative/jam rock band from the Boston area that blends experimental\, psych/prog\, and electronic sounds with catchy hooks and danceable grooves.
