DESCRIPTION:The Cloud Collector\nPresented by the Boston Fringe Festival\nThe Cloud Collector is a new trans fantasy rock musical that moves between real and imagined worlds\, blending songs\, instrumental interludes\, and narration with orchestration and foley. \nJune Beiser is a writer\, visual artist\, and musician based in Somerville\, MA. \nSince 2020\, she has been developing a project called The Cloud Collector\, which is rooted in her lived experience as a trans person and has iterated from illustrations and poetry into a vibrant sonic world that currently takes the form of a musical. In 2023\, June discovered her transness and began creating this show as a way of processing her experience. \nBeginning in January 2025\, June made a concerted effort to turn The Cloud Collector into a musical\, and the result is an amalgamation of work that has been kept in motion through constant transformation.
