SUMMARY:Charles McBee: You Had To Be There
DESCRIPTION:Charles McBee: You Had To Be There\nYOU HAD TO BE THERE is Charles McBee’s laugh-out-loud love letter to growing up in a world that made zero sense then—and even less now. From cassette tapes to capped juice drinks\, landlines to LimeWire\, Charles takes you on a nostalgic roller coaster through the weird\, wild\, and wonderful days of “back in the day.” Whether you’re a Millennial\, Gen Xer\, or just someone who remembers when outside was mandatory and not optional\, this show is for you. Charles’ comedy is for everyone—because at the end of the day\, we’re more alike than we are different. Some of us healed with Vicks\, others with Capri Suns\, but either way… we’re just built different. \nCharles McBee is a respected NYC stand-up comedian and writer from Toledo\, Ohio. He has made three national stand-up comedy appearances on Gotham Comedy Live and was a favorite on two FOX television shows\, Laughs Seasons 1 and 2 and Punchline Seasons 1 and 2. \nCharles has written for several TV shows\, including Uncommon Sense and Uncommon Sense Live with Charlamagne Tha God\, VH1’s Hip Hop Honors\, and was also a creative consultant on Nick Cannon’s Wild N Out. \nHe’s worked on the MTV VMA’s as well as the Golden Globes\, hosted the Music Lives Festival for the Live X Live Network\, and was the Head Writer for Comedy Central’s Hell Of A Week\, which was nominated for a Writers Guild Award. \nCharles has most recently gained a following on social media with his comedic commentary about growing up in the 80s and 90s. \n  \n\n\n\nAGES: This event is 21+ // Valid ID required for alcohol consumption \nDOORS 6:15 PM \nSHOW 7:00 PM \nUNFORTUNATELY\, THERE IS NO LATE SEATING FOR COMEDY & THEATER. \nSeating begins 30-60 minutes before show time. SUMMARY:Hippies and Cowboys
DESCRIPTION:Hippies and Cowboys\nWith Support from Faųx Façade  \nHippies And Cowboys are a rock ’n soul band\, originating in Nashville TN. Bringing back a taste of southern rock\, blues\, and soul\, it’s a sound that has defied the test of time. Inspiration comes from the likes of Sam and Dave\, The Blues Brothers\, Booker T & The MG’s\, Otis Redding\, and Marvin Gaye\, to Aerosmith\, Lynyrd Skynyrd\, The Eagles\, The Beatles\, Tom Petty\, The Rolling Stones and CCR. \nEarly tracks were recorded in the iconic studios of Muscle Shoals\, Alabama: Fame\, East Avalon\, and Noise Block. This music was captured on the album Live At Fox & Locke\, and released on vinyl in October 2023. \nThe band huddled up at Purple House studio in Lieper’s Fork TN\, later that same year. From those sessions sprang their first studio release\, an EP of six songs called Fork In The Road\, delivered to the world on vinyl\, CD\, & digital late 2024. Watch the tour calendar for dates that will take the band into clubs and major festivals across the US and Europe throughout 2025. \nThe Hippies & Cowboys are: \nAaron Sparling: lead vocals\, rhythm guitar \nScott Metko: drums \nVictor Arruda: lead guitar \nKevin Riley Corbo: bass guitar \nConnor Lafollotte: keys \n \nThis event is All Ages  // Valid ID required for alcohol consumption \nDoors 7:00 PM  \nShow 8:00 PM  \nTickets $15 adv / $20 day of \nShow will begin no later than 15 minutes after showtime. \nNO REFUNDS\, ONLY EXCHANGES FOR SHOW CREDIT \nWheelchair Accessibility: Please call the host at (617) 628-4444 to let you in through the elevator in The Gorin Building.

SUMMARY:Jeffrey Lewis & The Voltage
DESCRIPTION:Jeffrey Lewis & The Voltage\nJeffrey Lewis is an American singer/songwriter and comic-book artist\, part of the Anti-folk movement. Several of his musical influences have been acknowledged in his songs such as The Chelsea Hotel Oral Sex Song\, concerning the song by Leonard Cohen\, and The History of The Fall. Like Cohen\, Lewis’ lyrics are complex and literate\, often combining a depressing world-view with a hopeful message and sharp wit. \nWith opener\, and friend\, Noah Britton\nhttps://noahbritton.bandcamp.com/album/im-gonna-miss-you-true-love \nValid ID required for ENTRY \nDoors 7:00 PM  \nShow 8:00 PM  \nShow will begin no later than 15 minutes after showtime. \nNO REFUNDS\, ONLY EXCHANGES FOR SHOW CREDIT \nWheelchair Accessibility: Please call the host at (617) 628-4444 to let you in through the elevator in The Gorin Building.
