SUMMARY:One Liner Madness
DESCRIPTION:One Liner Madness\n\nONE LINER MADNESS is a Time Out Critics’ Pick traveling comedy contest that finds the best joke writers in the country. It was founded in Brooklyn in 2016. \nOn Friday\, March 27\, 64 Boston-area comedians will go head-to-head in a bracket-style\, single-elimination\, one-liner joke contest. It’s like a March Madness tournament\, but just under two hours\, and with jokes instead of basketballs. \nThis not-to-be-missed contest is hosted\, created\, and produced by comedian and game show writer Emily Winter (from E!\, The New Yorker\, NPR)\, and Larry Mancini (from the Brooklyn Comedy Festival). It’s been recommended in/on The New York Times\, Time Out\, The Boston Globe\, LAist\, WGN\, Real Milwaukee\, Axios\, WHYY and more. \n\n\n\n\nThis event is 21+\nValid ID required for alcohol consumption \nDoors 6:15 PM  \nShow 7:00 PM  \nLATE SEATING POLICY:\nLate seating is not guaranteed for comedy or theater.\nLate seating will end after the opener\, if there is one\, and when the headliner begins. \nWHY LIMITED LATE SEATING: Due to the architecture of our space\, the entrance is next to the stage and it is disruptive to the performer to enter late. SUMMARY:Yes & Everything
DESCRIPTION: Yes & Everything\n\n\n\n\nYou might be wondering “why should I go to this random show when there are so many other shows to go to?” \nWe’ve captured an energy that simply must be shared and experienced. We don’t fully know how (we don’t have the most impressive CVs)\, but every show has felt deeply important in today’s climate. This is not a route\, “we’re-doing-our-jobs” show. We will pour our energy into the room so that the audience can be fully immersed in\, connected to\, and a part of art and community. There is no fourth wall. We are in this room together and we will leave inspired \nTo quote a newcomer to February’s show: “I invited four of my friends tonight but one couldnt make and the other one couldnt get in. How do I explain the show to them? It’s so unique and different. There truly isn’t a way to explain what I just witnessed tonight.” \nSo if you’re looking for a passive\, sedate Friday night show – you should pass on this. We want energy. We want your active audience participation. We want your hunger because we will feed you but you must be ready to chew and swallow. \nPlus it’s just so much fun\, come onnnn. \n@lifedrawingboston\, @loov_the \nThis show was created at The Loov and is being presented at The Rockwell — an awesome collaboration that will only improve your life. \n\n\n\n\nTimeline: \nDOORS: 9:00 PM \nSHOW: 9:15 PM \nAge Limit: This event is 21+ \nID: Valid ID required for Entry \nLimited Late Seating: Due to the architecture of our space\, the entrance is next to the stage and it is disruptive to the performer to enter late.
