SUMMARY:Wrath of the Selkie II
DESCRIPTION:Wrath of the Selkie II\nNautical electro-folk band and performance art collective Thou Merciless Graves returns to the Rockwell stage with a vengeance – literally – with WRATH OF THE SELKIE II\, a story of shapeshifters\, sea monsters\, and blood-soaked revenge. Through their unique blend of spooky\, synth-y sea shanties\, performance art and burlesque\, Thou Merciless Graves will tell the next chapter of the story of The Selkie\, a mysterious visitor from the unforgiving depths of the ocean.  With musical support from local artists Squallie Greenthumb\, Coffin Salesman and Your Friends in Hell\, WRATH OF THE SELKIE II promises an evening full of frightful fun. \nARTIST BIO: Thou Merciless Graves is a three-woman band:Growler Graves [lead vocals\, tenor resonator guitar\, songwriting]\, Mizzen Graves [synths\, backing vocals\, keytar\, production] and Shearwater Graves [viola\, backing vocals\, mandolin]. Drawing inspiration from classic maritime folk by the likes of Stan Rogers and Gordon Bok\, gothic folk doom artists like Chelsea Wolfe and Emma Ruth Rundle\, and Growler’s childhood growing up on a small sailboat in the North Atlantic\, Thou Merciless Graves  seeks to tell stories of the horrors and wonders of the ocean with doomy synths\, resonant string drones\, unconventional guitar stylings and emotional\, powerful vocals meant to be heard over the waves.
