SUMMARY:Cheap Chocolate Day
DESCRIPTION:Cheap Chocolate Day\nA Celebration of Discounted Chocolate and Rock Music!\nPlease join Greenstein’s Best on Saturday\, February 15\, 2025 for our favorite sugar-charged event\, Cheap Chocolate Day. Over 8 years\, Cheap Chocolate Day has become my celebration of the community intersection of chocolate lovers and live music lovers. \nThe gig returns to The Rockwell in Somerville Ska City in 2025 with free chocolate treats and as always\, fabulous local indie bands. This year\, Pink Slip\, Good June\, and Little Low rock the stage. Come through\, hang out\, dance\, and candy! \nMore on the Artists:\n\n\nPink Slip – PINK SLIP is an 8 piece Boston ska punk band with big hooks and a bigger heart\, serving high energy anthems with a healthy spritzing of sass. Featuring a hefty horn section and soulful\, soaring choruses\, PINK SLIP will get you dancing whether you’ve been a ska kid since day one or dipping your toe into the scene for the first time. Their new EP “Suck City” features 6 brand new tracks about self-esteem\, imposter syndrome\, broken friendships\, hard goodbyes\, and the struggle to find your way in your mid 30s in a city that works harder to push you out then to keep you around. PINK SLIP is a promise that even when things feel like they’re gonna fall apart\, with your friends by your side\, you can always pick it up. \nGood June – Have you been looking for a new Alternative Emo band to fill the gaping hole in your heart that has been left from indefinite hiatuses or full on disbandings? Meet good June\, a musical journey born from the solo musings of Alex Ilyadis\, now a collective force with Jina Moran and Walker Bristol. Originally a solo project\, Good June has evolved into a band exploring the diverse styles of Emo and its surroundings. Good June has been hard at work over its 2 year of life writing songs\, recording them\, and finally presenting them to the public in a nice three course meal of emotions. We invite you to sample each of these complex dishes and discover the specific emotional notes that each of them bring. \nLittle Low – Members of Save Ends\, No Trigger\, and Beartrap making emo jam \n\n** This event is 21+  // Valid ID required for alcohol consumption \nDoors 6:30 PM  \nShow 7:30 PM  \nShow will begin no later than 15 minutes after showtime. \nNO REFUNDS 48 HOURS BEFORE SHOWTIME  \nWheelchair Accessibility: Please call the host at (617) 628-4444 to let you in through the elevator in The Gorin Building.
