SUMMARY:Sex Mex
DESCRIPTION:Sex Mex\nThe first few years of Sex Mex were very unstable. It see sawed from the desire to have a band\, to the desire to get rid of everybody in a moments notice. The only solution was to have the band without having a band. No sound compromise. No people compromise. A completely digital band made up of digital Clark’s. At the end of the day\, Sex Mex is just an extension of Clark. The very loud\, obnoxious extension of an otherwise\, shy\, quiet person. \nSOCIAL MEDIA: @sexmexsux \n\nPresented by Get To The Gig & MassConcerts \nTimeline: \nDoors 7:00 PM  \nShow 8:00 PM  \nAge Limit: This event is 21+ \nID: Valid ID required for Entry \nStart Time: Performances will begin no later than 15 minutes after stated show time. \nRefund Policy: REFUNDS DETERMINED BY GET TO THE GIG. \nADA Accessibility: The Rockwell is partially ADA Accessible with an elevator and restrooms in saloon wide enough for wheelchair use.

SUMMARY:ONELOUDDRAWING
DESCRIPTION:ONELOUDDRAWING\nJonah / onelinedrawing with a full band doing Far’s Tin Cans on its 30th anniversary\, plust stuff from New End’s Thriller & the new onelinedrawing album RAINBOWMACHINE \nARTIST BIO: onelinedrawing is Jonah Matranga of Far\, Gratitude\, New End Original\, and more. On September 18\, Iodine Recordings will release RAINBOWMACHINE\, the new album from onelinedrawing. The album was produced by Jay Maas. It’s the loudest\, wildest onelinedrawing record yet. The tracks above are from the album. There will also be the first full-band onelinedrawing shows in forever in September and October\, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Far’s TIn Cans With Strings To You\, the 25th anniversary of Thriller\, and of course the new album. \nJonah started onelinedrawing in 1998\, just as his first band\, post-hardcore / emo misfits Far\, was breaking up. The first onelinedrawing releases were a cassette on POPROCKIT\, a label started by Kevin Seconds (7 Seconds). Then came the Sketchy EPs\, first self-released\, then in various forms on various indie labels (Crank\, Revelation\, Corrupted Image). During that time\, onelinedrawing pioneered sliding-scale pricing for downloads and merch\, monthly crowdfunded patronage (eventually released as the Always New albums)\, and Unique Recordings. During that time\, onelinedrawing toured with and/or released music with Rival Schools\, The Juliana Theory\, Coheed & Cambria\, Dashboard Confessional\, Murder By Death\, The Weakerthans\, Jimmy Eat World\, and more. \nonelinedrawing’s most recent studio album is Tenderwild\, on Iodine Records. Iodine also recently released Sketchbook\, a collection of early onelinedrawing recordings 1999-2001. onelinedrawing also has two albums (VISITOR and THE VOLUNTEERS) still on Jade Tree / Epitaph. Over 30 years\, several projects\, dozens of albums\, hundreds of songs\, and thousands of shows\, Jonah Matranga has influenced countless artists: Deftones\, Frank Turner\, Thursday\, My Chemical Romance\, Walter Schreifels\, and Chris Carraba. Jonah has also been featured on tracks by Deftones\, Thursday\, Fort Minor\, Lupe Fiasco\, Kimya Dawson\, and many more. \nonelinedrawing is the thread that runs through it all. \nSOCIAL MEDIA: Instagram: @aonelinedrawingis / Facebook: jonahmusic / Tiktok: @jonahsonelinedrawing \n\nPresented by The Rockwell \nTimeline: \nDOORS: 7:00 PM \nSHOW: 8:00 PM \nAge Limit: This event is All Ages \nID: Valid ID required for Alcohol Consumption \nStart Time: Performances will begin no later than 15 minutes after stated show time. \nRefund Policy: All sales are final. SUMMARY:Spookey Ruben
DESCRIPTION:Spookey Ruben\n\n\n\nSpookey Ruben @spookeyruben\nAlice Cohen @alicedesoda\nMonkey @meammonkey\nThe Freakshadows @hanfreitasmusic\n+ DJ mXe @basicbitch42069\n\n\n\nARTIST BIOS:\n\nSpookey Ruben is undoubtedly a household name in the Canadian indie scene\, an artist who has stayed unmistakably authentic across three decades. Emerging in the mid-1990s\, he has built a body of work defined by playful eccentricity and an intuitive grasp of pop that never sacrifices curiosity in favor of convention. Spookey’s music is a sophisticated combination of childlike wonder\, formal experimentation\, and melodic discipline\, aging into something closer to prophecy than nostalgia.\n\nBorn Alan Deil in Ottawa\, Spookey spent much of his childhood moving through Europe\, where his father worked as an engineer for the European Space Agency. A restless adolescence in Germany and the Netherlands gave way to thrash metal\, long hair\, and the nickname “Spooky”\, later stylized as the instantly recognizable “Spookey.” Settling in Washington\, D.C. in his high school years\, Spookey formed the band Transilience\, whose 1990 release Mouthful of Buildings became a cornerstone of avant-garde thrash jazz. He then moved to Toronto at nineteen to study film at York University. There\, he drifted back toward music\, accumulating ideas on a home four-track that would become the foundation of Spookey Ruben.\n\nThose bedroom recordings became Modes of Transportation Vol. 1\, a debut that immediately set him apart from his contemporaries. Crowned “Pet Sounds of the 90s”\, the album catapulted him into critical acclaim through its densely imagined world: fairy-tale introductions\, yodeling vocals\, lullabies that drifted into darkness\, and collage-like sound design sitting comfortably alongside impeccably crafted pop hooks. Drawing from the elasticity and moods of 1980s British new wave while filtering those influences through his distinctly personal lens\, Spookey established a musical language that felt both referential and entirely his own. The record’s refusal to posture or explain itself became one of its most compelling traits\, allowing humor\, innocence\, and menace to coexist without contradiction. It spawned the singles “These Days Are Old\,” “Running Away\,” and “Wendy McDonald\,” and found significant airplay on MuchMusic and MTV before carrying him to a run of successes in Japan and Europe.\n\nThe years that followed were shaped as much by creative restlessness as by difficult circumstances. A protracted dispute with TVT Records pulled Spookey away from the momentum of his debut and into a long stretch out of the public eye. Rather than continue to chase the visibility of his debut\, he returned at the turn of the century with the companion records Bed and Breakfast. The two albums were conceived as a pair and were later packaged into a single double album\, showcasing his unique eccentricity that kept evolving during the years away. Alone at the Zoo\, a 2003 collection of demos co-produced with John McEntire of Tortoise and The Sea and Cake\, offered a more intimate window into his mind during the time period.\n\nSpookey spent the following years widening the frame of his practice entirely. In 2008\, he launched Dizzy Playground: a self-directed series of short films for Exclaim! and AUX Television that drew in the likes of Feist and Voivod\, and treated the screen as an extension of his free-associating mind. The adventurous Mechanical Royalty followed in 2009. Where many artists of his generation rely on a signature sound found during their heyday and repeat it relentlessly\, Spookey is not afraid of reinventing himself over and over again. Modes III — the sequel to Modes of Transportation Vol. 1 — arrived in 2016\, with collaborators such as Geneva Jacuzzi. The album’s first track\, “When Your Heart Says Yes\,” found extended popularity when it was remixed in 2020 by Mac DeMarco.\n\nSpookey’s unwavering independence is a defining trait of him as much as any single record\, and a generation of artists has claimed him as inspiration\, among them Owen Pallett\, Chilly Gonzales\, and Esthero. In 2025\, Spookey released Toronto\, You’ve Changed on Flatcar Records — a record that reflects on a version of Toronto both familiar to him yet quietly estranged. Now based in Los Angeles and signed to Stereolism\, Spookey remains exactly what he has always been: an artist building worlds nobody else could have imagined\, with a new album on the way.\n\n\n\nSOCIAL MEDIA: Spookey Ruben \nTimeline: \nDOORS: 7:00 PM \nSHOW: 8:00 PM \nAge Limit: This event is All Ages \nID: Valid ID required for Alcohol Consumption/Entry \nStart Time: Performances will begin no later than 15 minutes after stated show time. \nRefund Policy: All sales are final. SUMMARY:Hunter Flynn: Back to My Roots Tour
DESCRIPTION:Hunter Flynn: Back to My Roots Tour\nWith special guest Evan Cyote \nPresented by The Rockwell and Peachtree Entertainment. \nHunter Flynn is a Kentucky-born singer-songwriter and visual artist whose work resonates with emotional honesty and a deep connection to Appalachian culture. Raised in Pulaski County\, Flynn’s path to music and art wasn’t a straight line—it was forged through adversity and personal transformation. In early 2022\, after surviving a life-altering car accident\, he decided to fully embrace his creative passions\, launching a music career rooted in authenticity\, vulnerability\, and soul. \nDrawing inspiration from the landscapes and stories of Appalachia\, Flynn blends elements of folk\, country\, soul\, and gospel into a genre-defying sound he calls Appalachian Soul Music. His lyrics\, often reflective and raw\, tell stories of pain\, redemption\, resilience\, and identity—underscored by his powerful vocals and minimalist arrangements. These qualities are showcased in his debut EP\, Appalachian Soul\, released in May 2023\, which quickly gained traction for its emotional depth and stripped-back sincerity. \nLearn more about Hunter Flynn and his music at www.hunterflynn.com. \nDOORS: 7:00 PM \nSHOW: 8:00 PM \nAge Limit: This event is All Ages \nID: Valid ID required for Alcohol Consumption \nStart Time: Performances will begin no later than 15 minutes after stated show time. \nRefund Policy: All sales are final. SUMMARY:The Commute
DESCRIPTION:The Commute\n\nSHOW DESCRIPTION: Four strangers are trapped in a tunnel during a sudden stop on the Red Line. As tension builds\, they are forced to confront each other-and themselves. The Commute is a dark\, thought provoking new comedy by Karin Anell\, exploring human behavior under pressure. Who are we really\, behind our masks? The evening show will be followed by an interactive talk-back and panel discussing the evolving role of technology in our lives. \nARTIST STATEMENT: “I love listening to people’s life stories. My scripts are often based on individuals’ lived experiences and I believe in theatre as a powerful vehicle to bring these engaging narratives to life. Theatre can bring people together to start important conversations\, and I don’t mean discussions around who was the better actor\, or whether the third act was too long. I want people to leave the theatre and spend the next couple of hours discussing what they saw. How did this piece make them feel? What are they thinking right now? Did this play open their eyes to something new; see the world\, and themselves\, in a different light? \nI like to include interactive sessions with a subject matter expert(s) after performances. I moderate these sessions\, inviting the audience to participate and ask questions about what they saw. Themes I have brought to life include a mother’s guilt\, body image\, and our biggest fears. \nIt does not take a million-dollar production that runs for 3 hours to engage an audience and stimulate an interesting debate. I believe in: \n\nSimplicity and adaptability-use modern technology to make theatre more engaging and entertaining\nShort plays that pack a punch\, using local talent\nCommunity-based theatre accessible to all” — Karin Anell\n\nSOCIAL MEDIAS: Facebook: tcsquaredtheatre / Instagram: @tc2theatre \n\nTimeline: \nEARLY SHOW: \nDOORS: 1:15 PM \nSHOW: 2:00 PM \nLATE SHOW (With Panel!): \nDOORS: 5:15 PM \nSHOW: 6:00 PM \nAge Limit: Some mature themes. SUMMARY:Jackie Evans - SOLD OUT!
DESCRIPTION:Jackie Evans – SOLD OUT!\nWith Elli Rowe \nFor New York-based singer/songwriter Jackie Evans\, music has always been the only option\, but Evans only began releasing songs under her own name last year. Her style\, often likened to the timeless writing of Carole King\, Billy Joel\, and Sara Bareilles is\, in part\, the byproduct of years spent taking requests at piano bars. As a gigging musician\, Evans has tried it all; from playing standards on cruise ships\, to performing at theme parks and majoring in theater. The ease and confidence she carries in live performance has caught the attention of other musicians\, leading to collaborations with Vulfpeck\, and support slots on tour with Lake Street Dive and Jensen McRae. Her debut EP entitled “Most of the Time” released on June 26th\, 2026. — PACNYC \n \n  \nPresented by Get To The Gig & MassConcerts \nDoors 7:00 PM  \nShow 8:00 PM  \nAge Limit: This event is All Ages \nID: Valid ID required for alcohol consumption \nRefund Policy: REFUNDS DETERMINED BY GET TO THE GIG \nADA Accessibility: The Rockwell is partially ADA Accessible with an elevator and restrooms in saloon wide enough for wheelchair use.
