DESCRIPTION:One Liner Madness\n\nONE LINER MADNESS is a Time Out Critics’ Pick traveling comedy contest that finds the best joke writers in the country. It was founded in Brooklyn in 2016. \nOn Friday\, March 27\, 64 Boston-area comedians will go head-to-head in a bracket-style\, single-elimination\, one-liner joke contest. Audience applause determines which performers advance\, and who ultimately becomes the 2026 ONE LINER MADNESS CHAMPION and winner of the trophy and cash prize. It’s like a March Madness tournament\, but just under two hours\, and with jokes instead of basketballs. \nThis not-to-be-missed contest is hosted\, created\, and produced by comedian and game show writer Emily Winter (from E!\, The New Yorker\, NPR)\, and Larry Mancini (from the Brooklyn Comedy Festival). With a love for physical comedy rooted in a childhood obsession with Jim Carrey\, Deby has developed a unique voice that blends playfulness\, heart\, and fearless experimentation.\n\n\n \n\n\nHer work has been recognized nationally: she directed Cooking with Kathryn\, which won Best Physical Comedy at the FRIGID Fringe Festival and People’s Choice at PORTFringe. Jabbawaukee from Rhode Island and Brother Guy from Massachusetts are both making waves in the northeast jam scene and are ready to make your booty shake at the Rockwell on March 19th! Come one come all to a magical evening of tasty grooves and face melting solos. \nOver the last 7 years\, Jabbawaukee has staked their claim as one of the top jam / funk bands in New England. Heiring from RI and MA\, the quartet consists of bassist/ vocalist Brendon “Low B” Bjorness-Murano\, guitarist & vocalist Dave Hobson\, keyboardist & vocalist Jack Skiffington and drummer & vocalist Stu Taylor. The band released their self-produced debut full length LP “Family Tree” in late 2021\, followed by the release of the video for their first single\, “Ting Pop (Time Flys By)” as well as their second single “Day Roll By”\, featuring Dan Moretti on saxophone (Chic\, Robert Plant\, Aretha Franklin\, Dr. John\, Chaka Khan) off of the same album. That was later followed by a single release of a cover of Grateful Dead’s song “New Speedway Boogie”\, funked up as only Jabbawaukee could do. Designed to be immersive\, emotional\, and visually striking\, the concert offers a one-of-a-kind live experience for fans of film scores and contemporary classical music. \nPau Riba Martínez is a Barcelona-born composer for film and concert music. A classically trained pianist\, he graduated with honors from the Conservatori del Liceu and is currently studying at Berklee College of Music. His work focuses on emotional storytelling through organic orchestration\, bridging classical tradition with contemporary cinematic language. Influenced by Ennio Morricone\, Joe Hisaishi\, John Williams\, and Frédéric Chopin\, his music emphasizes expressive authenticity. \nRiba composed the original score for the 100th Anniversary of The Phantom of the Opera\, which premiered with live orchestra in Barcelona.
