DESCRIPTION:Couch to Mic is a fast paced comedy performance and writing workshop. Participants will spend four weekly sessions writing and rehearsing their original five minute set. You are coached in a supportive and lively environment by creator and facilitator\, Steph Lazenby. All of this leads to week five – a performance in front of a live audience! Stephanie hosts\, comedians slay\, audiences are entertained and everyone has a fantastic time! \nCouch to Mic builds community and expands the definition of stand-up in a creative environment that is safe and inclusive for all people. Ranging from expressive melodies to rap and funk\, Anika has created a style of music that is conversational and ever spiraling\, expressing deep emotion in an unconventional way. With the new perspectives of the band\, the “Orbit” strives to experiment with new sounds and musical techniques to bring these songs to life. \nStella Chapple is an electric bassist from Los Angeles California. Currently studying film scoring and performance at Berklee College\, she aspires to work as a touring musician\, and compose for film and television.. \nSofia Devitt is a colorful driving force in alternative rock. Based in Boston\, Massachusetts\, Sofia is a vocal powerhouse that blends the sounds of 70’s rock with modern indie pop.
