SUMMARY:It's Not Faire - Staged Reading
DESCRIPTION:“It’s Not Faire” is a farcical sex-comedy about a SoundCloud rapper/lovable airhead named Tripp who gets a job as a fry cook at the Renaissance Faire to pay for his last year of college after losing his scholarship due to poor grades and lack of motivation. Guided by the memory of his absent father (represented as the ghost of George Washington in drag)\, he finds himself acting at the Faire in an abridged/audience-participatory production of Hamlet. Thrown into intense Shakespearean dialogue training (and the broken marriage of the production’s diva director and infidel star\,) it’s clear that Tripp has bit off more than he can chew\, but with two big off-Broadway producers coming to watch the show\, Tripp realizes that even his best may not be enough. Will Tripp find something he can succeed at (aside from seducing women)\, or will his dreams of making his father proud go unanswered? \nThis event is All Ages\, suggested Age is 18+  // Valid ID required for alcohol consumption \nDoors 12:00 PM  \nShow 12:30 PM  \nTickets $15 adv / $10 student (with Valid Student ID) \nNO REFUNDS. \nWheelchair Accessibility: Please call the host at (617) 628-4444 to let you in through the elevator in The Gorin Building. \n
