SUMMARY:Caitlin Cook: The Writing On The Stall
DESCRIPTION:Fresh from its sold-out Off-Broadway debut and selection as a New York Times’ critic’s pick\,\nCaitlin Cook’s hit bathroom graffiti musical is a comedic\, musical\, and theatrical sensation. This\nis a show for comedy nerds\, musical theater kids\, art history buffs\, and anyone who’s ever seen\nsomething written in a bathroom and thought\, “I wonder who wrote that?” Confessional\,\nimmersive\, and uproariously funny\, this one-of-a-kind show—literally set in a dive bar\nbathroom—transforms graffiti scrawled all over the stalls into the lyrics of her original songs and\ntrail markers along the journey she takes us upon. Through these irreverent\, poignant\, and often\nobscene messages\, Cook reckons with our shared humanity and what we owe each other. May\ninclude: slingshotted panties\, milk pistols\, and a cowboy dick (complete\, with spurs!) \n“Inventive and hilarious.” — David Cross\n“If you aren’t worshipping her already\, start now.“ — Ilana Glazer\n“Funny and fabulous!” — Cat Cohen\n“She’s absolutely lovely\, but she wears a lot of velvet\, and I hate that texture.” — Daniel Sloss\n“The writing\, the songs\, the performance\, the comedy\, the heart—this show has got it all in\nspades.” — Jo Firestone\n“Go see this show.” — Michael Che\n“She’s killer. Big fan!” — Mark Normand\n“An extremely funny and unique voice.” — Daniel Simonsen\n“So funny and also incredibly moving.” — Isabel Hagen\n“The bard of the bathroom we didn’t know we needed.” — David Goldsmith\n“Marvelous. SUMMARY:The Cemetery Swingers & A Worm's Wings
DESCRIPTION:The Wicked Queer Puppet Theater is a collective of artists\, musicians\, poets\, dancers and community volunteers making musical puppet theater in the South Coast of Massachusetts. Through large scale paper mache puppetry\, movement and song we tell stories that challenge societal conditioning and call for action to get in right relationship with ourselves\, each other and the Earth. \nOn October 27th the WQPT brings a very vibrant\, spooky and thrilling 2 act show to The Rockwell Theater.\n\nACT 1:\nThe Cemetery Swingers are zombies from another dimension bringing songs of horror and humor to a stage near you! Zombie cousins Kim Graves and Death Bed Ed pair up to combine danceable rhythms with thrilling tales of shapeshifting beasts\, animate skeletons\, mad scientists\, and the misadventures of zombies in love.\n\nACT 2:\n“A Worms Wings” is a 13 song production with a full live band\, puppetry and movement set to artist Hooly J Chan’s latest music album. This is a story about a worm who recognizes they are a worm in a world intentionally designed with structures and systems that are not built for the fluidity of a worm. This story is about learning how to free yourself\, heal by facing your own darkness\, befriend other soft bodied and hearted creatures\, return to the Earth\, connect with the beyond\, spiral over and over again and endlessly dream for a more free and love filled world.\n\nThis event is All Ages – Suggested 18+  // Valid ID required for alcohol consumption \nDoors 4:30 PM  \nShow 5:00 PM – 7:15 PM with a 10 min intermission  \nCOMEDY & THEATER: UNFORTUNATELY\, THERE IS NO LATE SEATING.
