SUMMARY:SOLD OUT! Moving Mountains
DESCRIPTION:Moving Mountains\nMoving Mountains is an American rock band from Purchase\, New York. Combining elements of emo and post-rock\, the band has often been compared to such acts as The Appleseed Cast and Thrice. \nFor some bands\, there is a core vision and purpose that shines through from beginning to the end. For others\, there is an evolution of an idea\, a constant metamorphosis whose end and scope is unknown. For Moving Mountains\, the evolution not only encapsulates their music\, but a larger overarching concept of what defines ‘Moving Mountains’. That isn’t to say that the Purchase\, NY quartet have an artier than thou complex\, but it does touch on an evolving aesthetic undercurrent and a belief that a band can create an experiential vision that goes beyond music. \n \n  \nThis event is 21+ // Valid ID required for ENTRY \nDoors 7:00 PM  \nShow 8:00 PM  \nShow will begin no later than 15 minutes after showtime. \nREFUNDS DETERMINED BY GET TO THE GIG \nWheelchair Accessibility: Please call the host at (617) 628-4444 to let you in through the elevator in The Gorin Building.

SUMMARY:SKORTS
DESCRIPTION:SKORTS\nAt SKORTS’ first show\, an amp exploded — call it a freak accident or a catalyzing prophecy — either way\, from there was born a band that refused to arrive quietly. And with their debut Incompletement (October 31st)\, the group is packaging that power to deliver the album their fans have been waiting for since the group first started taking NYC stages by storm. \nIncompletement is pure passion pressed into permanence—polished\, stadium-ready rock with a DIY edge\, recorded live across three Brooklyn practice spaces with friend and producer Teddy O’Mara. The album is more than SKORTS’ greatest hits—the tracks their fans have eagerly been waiting for since first hearing them live. It also includes two never-performed songs that showcase a more tender side of the band. \nSKORTS is a product of creative chemistry and sweet serendipity. The foundation for the band was laid when lead singer and guitarist Alli Walls made what she calls her “big romantic gesture to music” and moved from Denver to New York City in 2021. Upon arrival\, she hit it off with Char Smith (lead guitar) at a local guitar shop\, and the duo laid down some demos. Char connected with Emma Welch outside a bar\, and just like that\, the band had their bassist. \nSince that first show\, SKORTS hasn’t stopped. For the last few years\, the band has been everywhere\, riding the wave they’ve swirled up themselves while forging their sound on stages across New York City—earning the title of Oh My Rockness’s Hardest Working Band in 2024; taking the crown at Our Wicked Lady’s Winter Madness battle-of-the-bands tournament that same year; and catching the eye and ear of radio icon Alisa Ali\, who invited them to record a live session for 90.7 WFUV in early 2025. The band––completed by drummer Max Berdik– has also been cutting their teeth on tour\, packing bigger and bigger rooms with returning fans and new recruits\, all keen to stake their claim and earn the right to say I knew them when. \n“Incompletement is a word we made up\,” SKORTS shares in their liner notes. “To us\, it means allowing oneself to live and create in an ever-changing state of impermanence.” It’s also\, perhaps\, an invitation. If this music is an exchange between gods and artists\, artists and audience\, now it’s your turn to have your way with it. To listen\, connect\, then maybe—just maybe—feel a little bit more complete. \n \nPresented by Get To The Gig & MassConcerts \nThis event is 21+  // Valid ID required for alcohol consumption \nDoors 7:00 PM  \nShow 8:00 PM  \nREFUNDS DETERMINED BY GET TO THE GIG \nWheelchair Accessibility: Please call the host at (617) 628-4444 to let you in through the elevator in The Gorin Building.

SUMMARY:Sap\, Sophie's Body\, The Dreamtoday
DESCRIPTION:Sap\, Sophie’s Body\, The Dreamtoday\nHEADLINER:  Sap\nSUPPORT: Sophie’s Body\nSUPPORT: The Dreamtoday\n\n\nSap\, the grungy alternative-rock trio out of Austin\, Texas\, has amassed a cult-like fan base with their unapologetically raw music. Standing on nearly 2 million streams and tens of thousands of listeners around the world\, Evan Fundora\, Hank Barna and Jared Cox took their hectic live set on tour\nsupporting Canadian rock band\, The Jins\, in 2024 and continue their rampage into 2025 with a whole new branch of sensitivity coating their upcoming album. \nSophie’s Body is a Boston-based bubble grunge band\, fronted by singer and guitarist Sophie McMinn. With a killer combination of intensely emotional songwriting\, hard-hitting\, catchy riffs\, and unmatched live energy\, Sophie’s Body is making a serious mark in the underground alt-rock scene.\nUnique in lyricism\, harmony\, and rhythm\, Sophie’s Body has garnered a cult following who appreciate both the nuanced sound of developed instrumentals\, and the raw emotion of feelings that can only be screamed. \nThe Dreamtoday: Earth shattering alt-rock from outer space. \n\n\n  \nValid ID required for alcohol consumption\nDoors 7:00 PM  \nShow 8:00 PM  \nShow will begin no later than 15 minutes after showtime. \nNO REFUNDS. \nWheelchair Accessibility: Please call the host at (617) 628-4444 to let you in through the elevator in The Gorin Building.

SUMMARY:Kennebec / Slow Meadow
DESCRIPTION:Kennebec / Slow Meadow\nKennebec is the creative vessel of composer\, producer\, and multi-instrumentalist Eric Phillips\, whose work delivers a lush\, boundary-pushing symphonic blend of globally inspired American chamber-folk\, ambient jazz\, neo-soul\, new age\, and alternative hip-hop.\nFollowing collaborations with artists such as Samuel T. Herring\, Sudan Archives\, Yazz Ahmed\, and Alfa Mist —and working on soundtracks for acclaimed projects like The Holdovers and Barack Obama’s Netflix series Working—Phillips returns with The Water Wheel (out November 7)\, a conceptually rich third album exploring impermanence\, love\, and the cycles of time. The record is both a cathartic celebration of life and a soothing balm for turbulent times. \n \nThe Houston multi-instrumentalist Matt Kidd\, who writes pastoral\, deeply felt compositions as Slow Meadow\, will release the 43-minute LP Costero on November 17. The 10-song effort is Kidd’s second as Slow Meadow\, arriving two years after the 33-year-old’s debut on the Hammock Music label\, a relationship that bloomed when Hammock’s Marc Byrd and Kidd forged an online bond over tastes and ideas from their respective homes in Tennessee and Texas. \n \nShow is All Ages \nValid ID required for alcohol consumption \nDoors 7:00 PM  \nShow 8:00 PM  \nShow will begin no later than 15 minutes after showtime. \nNO REFUNDS. \nWheelchair Accessibility: Please call the host at (617) 628-4444 to let you in through the elevator in The Gorin Building.
