SUMMARY:bellwire
DESCRIPTION:bellwire\n \nSHOW DESCRIPTION: bellwire return to Boston with a new song in their bittersweet register tackling love\, existence\, and entropy. “LOVEBIRDS” (featuring a fellow sweet prince of New England songcraft\, Jake McKelvie\, singing harmony). The song will come out on the morning of the show. \nSince frontman Tyler berd’s move to the west coast\, the full bellwire is at most a twice-a-year sighting in these haunts. Don’t sleep on this\, especially with their roadworn pirate pedal-steel player Jonee Earthquake at the slide and pedals. \nThey will be joined by two local favorites: Yes\, Chef and Mel Starr and the Astral Projection. \nARTIST BIOS: \nbellwire is a New England rock band first formed in the summer of 2011\, now most commonly spotted in the fall. Early experiments in lo-fi\, surf\, and punk gave way to their jangly power-pop style typified on the EP\, Dog Thoughts. Their self-titled 2022 LP is an alt-country concept album that tells a story of love and loss (single: Dreamin’). Often appearing with New England pirate-punk stalwart Jonee Earthquake on pedal steel\, their high-energy performances still put lyrics and story first. \nBandcamp / Tidal  / Apple  / Spotify / Instagram / Facebook \nYes\, Chef! is a folk rock n roll trio cooking up catchy tunes with punchy basslines. Their songs use clowns\, birds\, weather\, and magically mundane (or maybe just random?) images to convey emotional experiences. \nInstagram / Bandcamp \nBased out of Boston\, MA\, Mel Starr is a self-taught singer/songwriter inspired by the folk tradition and the fingerpicking style. With no formal music education\, intuition is deeply integrated into their music practice. Mel’s songs are soothing and\, at times\, haunting. They reflect on family\, grief\, relationships and finding oneself in their writing. \n\nMel cares deeply about mental health and community wellbeing\, using music as a path to bring people together in learning and collaboration. In their opinion\, it is one of life’s true pleasures to see how a song can transform when instruments and minds conspire to create something new. \nWebsite / Instagram / Bandcamp \n\nDOORS: 7:00 PM \nSHOW: 8:00 PM \nAge Limit: This event is All Ages \nID: Valid ID required for alcohol consumption \nLimited Late Seating: Due to the architecture of our space\, the entrance is next to the stage and it is disruptive to the performer to enter late. We will seat you if there is an opener but once the headliner starts\, you may be allowed to sit in the lobby but will not be allowed to enter. SUMMARY:Hippies & Cowboys w Velvet Daydream
DESCRIPTION:Hippies & Cowboys\nwith Velvet Daydream\n \nHippies And Cowboys are a powerhouse rock ’n’ soul band out of Nashville\, TN\, built on grit\, groove\, and the raw electricity of classic Southern rock—revived with a modern edge. Their sound fuses deep-pocket soul\, blues\, and rock ’n’ roll\, channeling icons such as Aerosmith\, The Allman Brothers\, Tedeschi Trucks and others. \nRooted in tradition and sharpened by the road\, Hippies And Cowboys cut their early recordings in legendary rooms including FAME Studios\, Muscle Shoals Sound\, and East Avalon—capturing the same spirit that shaped generations of American music. Their debut release\, Live at Fox and Locke (2023)\, bottled the raw\, no-holds-barred energy of their live show and quickly earned critical acclaim. The follow-up EP\, Fork in the Road (2024)\, doubled down with a gritty\, hard-hitting collection of songs that\nshowcased their deep Southern roots\, tight musicianship\, and fearless songwriting. A live double album and full concert film are slated for release in 2026. \nVelvet Daydream Instagram \nDenver Rock N Roll \n \nDOORS: 7:00 PM \nSHOW: 8:00 PM \nAge Limit: This event is AA \nID: Valid ID required for Entry \nStart Time: Performances will begin no later than 15 minutes after stated show time. \nRefund Policy: All sales are final. SUMMARY:Abby Holliday + Charli Adams
DESCRIPTION:Abby Holliday + Charli Adams\nThere comes a time in every artist’s career when the art form transcends a mere outlet for self-expression and becomes a universal gift to mankind. For some it takes years\, for Abby Holliday it was there from the start. Her vulnerable introspection and brutal lyricism combined with mind-bending sonic sensibilities and a distinct production style immediately fused a bond between her and her loyal fan base. Holliday masterfully guides listeners through moments in time extremely specific to her own life that puts words to collective experiences of the human condition\, reaching into places we might not have known existed prior. \nAbby found her voice during her early years of college where she began quietly writing songs in the confines of her room. After a friend heard the songs and encouraged her to share them\, Abby met producer Jonathan Class and set off to record her debut album WHEN WE’RE FAR APART I FALL APART. It was in these studio moments where Abby’s sound began to take shape\, a launchpad for her sophomore album I’M OK NO I’M NOT. Holliday and Class experiment with a wide range of sounds from vocoded vocal stacks\, to jarring synths\, to lush strings and piano\, to a tasteful blend of organic and synthetic rhythm sections amassing in a discography that runs the gambit of the most beautiful songs to songs that smack you in the face with unforgettable hooks and driving beats. CRACK A SMILE COME ON STAY A WHILE\, Holliday’s highly anticipated junior record\, is out now. \n \n  \n“Former cheer captain” isn’t something you always see on the resume of a rising\, alternative singer-songwriter. For Charli Adams\, who grew up across several small towns in rural Alabama\, an outward display of optimism might have been the only way to get by. \nCharli Adams was born in a dollar-store town in northern Alabama\, the kind of place you might hear Kacey Musgraves sing about. “I didn’t grow up in a musical family\, but when I wrote my first song it clicked for me\,” she says.”| could be melodramatic about my life in a way l hadn’t in any other form of expression. When I wrote music\, I felt like I could say it all. Songwriting is essentially my only outlet to be unfiltered.” \nFeeling desperately constrained\, Adams left high school at 16 and started making trips to Nashville where she found herself in the alternative music scene. By 17 she was living on her own in Nashville. In between a serving job and finishing high school online\, she would drive the back roads of Tennessee listening to albums from The Cure to The 1975 and seeing every possible underground show Nashville had to offer. These formative years were captured on her debut EP\, Good At Being Young. In 2021\, Adams released her critically acclaimed debut album Bullseye which featured collaborations with Novo Amor\, Ruston Kelly and Nightly. Throughout her career\, she has written for the likes of peach pit\, Chloe Moriondo\, and Valley. Up next\, she’s working on her new EP (expected mid-2023). \n \n  \nPresented by Get To The Gig & MassConcerts \nAges: Show age differs by the day. Shows are All Ages Sundays-Thursdays & 21+ Fridays and Saturdays \n\nValid ID required for Entry on Fridays & Saturdays  \nDoors 7:00 PM  \nShow 8:00 PM  \nRefund Policy: REFUNDS DETERMINED BY GET TO THE GIG \nADA Accessibility: The Rockwell is partially ADA Accessible with an elevator and restrooms in saloon wide enough for wheelchair use.

SUMMARY:Lucky Gold Jr. & Werewolf
DESCRIPTION:Lucky Gold Jr. & Werewolf\nSHOW DESCRIPTION: Two East-Coast-via-Ohio based indie projects will be rocking the Rockwell on August 11th with support from a secret special guest! \nARTIST BIOS:  \nLucky Gold Jr. is a folk-rock project led by Massachusetts-based singer-songwriter Ellie Fallon\, with frequent live and recorded support from her sibling Mimi Fallon on bass\, and producer\, instrumentalist\, & friend Ollie Peterson. Fallon has anchored her sound to nostalgia’s ephemera\, unraveling unique experiences with familiar language. She writes about everything from failure to fandom with a perspective informed by hope\, and a sound inspired by her collaborators and musical fixations alike. \nOliver Peterson\, under the name Werewolf\, records alone from his carpet-padded garage in Stamford\, Connecticut. Through one-wire systems\, meticulously-crafted ambient textures\, and natural melodic sensibilities\, Peterson produces a sophisticated sound that ascends the parts of its sum\, and escapes time and place while kneeling in worship to it. Werewolf marries the grounded – acoustic guitars\, crunchy drums\, raw vocals – with the ethereal – swirling drones\, surreally visceral lyricism\, abstract visual components – to build a dream pop\, shoegaze\, indie-rock vision that is entirely his own. \nDOORS: 7:00 PM \nSHOW: 8:00 PM \nAge Limit: This event is All Ages \nID: Valid ID required for alcohol consumption \nLimited Late Seating: Due to the architecture of our space\, the entrance is next to the stage and it is disruptive to the performer to enter late. SUMMARY:Kooked Out\, Viper Cut Eyes\, Stunt
DESCRIPTION:Kooked Out\, Viper Cut Eyes\, Stunt\nSHOW DESCRIPTION: The Scene Within the Scene is a local community building platform for artists and musicians to connect and support one another. This is the first show curated by this group which is completely non profit. The bands on this first show are High Energy Rock bands with influences from Garage/Surf Punk/ and Psych Rock. \nARTIST BIOS: \nKooked Out: “The kaleidoscopic sound of Kooked Out has evolved naturally throughout the years and draws influences from almost every genre and decade of music from the 1930s to present day\, crafting a unique mix of styles and sounds that have developed Kooked Out a cult-like following in the skate and surf communities. Leaning heavily into the music of the ’50s\, ’60s and early 2000s\, Kooked Out’s genre-spanning sound has become a calling card\, both on record and live on stage\, appropriate for a creative outlet that lists its top influences as The White Stripes\, The Beatles\, Jimi Hendrix\, Dick Dale\, The Black Keys\, Cage The Elephant\, and Blink-182.” -Michael Marotta / Knyvet \nMembers: John Fiore\, Chris Laskey\, Chris Caduto\, Emily Trubey / ‘2024 Live Act Of The Year’ New England Music Awards \nViper Cut Eyes: Boston’s unapologetically noisy and transcendent Surfadelic Psych Rock unit Ace McGuire’s Acid Tabs are defibrillating stagnant bodies with blood pulsing riffs paired with a hit of tape echoed and verbed out psychedelia. Originally a bedroom recording project of Bermudian singer and songwriter Liv Dunks and New Bedford MA’s guitarist\, singer and producer Mitch Cardoza\, they expanded their vision by adding San Francisco’s multi-instrumentalist Erik Dietz on bass. \nStunt!: Brings the attitude and aggression of 90s Rock bands to today’s pop music scene. Riffs inspired by the grunge and pop-punk sounds of yesterday meld with vocal melodies that hang with any of today’s radio ear worms. \nSocial Medias: @thescenewithinthescene / @kookedoutofficial / @viper.cut.eyes / @thebandstunt \nDOORS: 7:00 PM \nSHOW: 8:00 PM \nAge Limit: This event is all ages \nID: Valid ID required for alcohol consumption \nLimited Late Seating: Due to the architecture of our space\, the entrance is next to the stage and it is disruptive to the performer to enter late. BIG HUGE harmonies lay on top of a tight\, minimalist rhythm section\, and if you’re lucky a horn section will casually be lowered from the rafters. \nLyrically\, these tunes work through issues of identity\, boundaries\, long distance relationships\, short distance situationships\, and the flux of family. The band is a beautiful collective of musicians who care as much about each other as they do about their art. As we all grow and learn\, each day we are all becoming a little more EVERFINER. \nHappy Little Clouds is a genre-blurring grit-pop band from Boston crafting emotionally charged\, melody-forward music with a raw edge\, radiant heart\, and live chops. Their self-described sound “grit-pop” weaves the the nerve of post-grunge\, brightness of power pop\, & the introspection of 90s alt-rock. \nJac Mestel’s unfiltered\, heart-on-sleeve lyrics entwine with catchy-AF melodies and emerge as vocals that have been known to turn heads. Derek Bergstrom’s creamy bass counter-melodies mix with Mestel’s driving guitar. Jess Townsend’s (World/Inferno) unique\, expressive drumming is the underlying pulse that brings the band to life. Happy Little Clouds built itself on a foundation of vulnerability\, loud guitars\, fresh drum beats\, and fearless storytelling. Proudly independent & unapologetically themselves\, HLC has emerged as a compelling voice in the indie scene. \nDom the Composer is a Boston/Lowell based Haitian-American singer-songwriter with a mission: to make music with some rhythm\, a little bit of blues\, and a whole lotta soul. Starting his musical journey in the All Saints Choir of Men & Boys in Ashmont\, Dom draws inspiration from these early beginnings & mixes elements from some of his current inspirations like Bill Withers\, Daniel Caesar\, Moonchild\, Thirdstory\, Jacob Collier & Lizzy McAlpine. He hopes to inspire vulnerability\, joy\, & self-reflection with every note & word he can. \nARTIST SOCIALS: @everfiner / @happylittlecloudsband / @domthecomposer \nDOORS: 7:00 PM \nSHOW: 8:00 PM \nAge Limit: This event is 21+ \nID: Valid ID required for Entry \nLimited Late Seating: Due to the architecture of our space\, the entrance is next to the stage and it is disruptive to the performer to enter late. SUMMARY:Nelward
DESCRIPTION:Nelward\nnelward is an innovative music artist creating funky electronic artpop for the internet age. Early on\, the melodies of classic Nintendo games were etched into his ADHD brain and never seemed to leave. Drawing from a wide array of influences\, nelward enjoys the explorative aspect of music creation and is not one to dwell in one sound for too long. He is also known for the colorful and whimsical art direction in his often self-produced videos. \nIn 2017\, his first EP Alive in Screen established his foundational sound. The subsequent success of the new jack swing/nu metal banger Ghost / Getting Better and bubblegum pop earworm Never Wanna Fall in Love With U established him as a force to be reckoned with in the independent electronic music scene. 2020’s Eat Your Dreams EP delved into heavier subject matter while tightening nelward’s knack for catchy songwriting. 2024’s single THE RUNAROUND combines infectious earworms while embracing musical exploration. \nNelward is known for his animated live performances\, completing a 40+ date tour of North America and Europe with TWRP from 2024-2025. In 2025 the nelward live band was born\, representing a distinct chapter in the evolution of his live performance. Nelward represents a growing segment of independent electronic artists who are building significant followings through digital platforms while creating innovative multimedia art experiences. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJustice Cow is the cosmic gumbo of Jessica Kion.  She grew up in a musical family which meant pressing rewind until she had transcribed every word of the “Grease” soundtrack and being forced to sing barbershop quartet family-style in the car. For over a decade she has toured extensively across the US and abroad\, equally at home in living rooms\, rock clubs\, and festival stages. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDOORS: 7:00 PM \nSHOW: 8:00 PM \nAge Limit: This event is 21+ \nID: Valid ID required for Entry \nStart Time: Performances will begin no later than 15 minutes after stated show time. \nRefund Policy: All sales are final. SUMMARY:Mr. Phylzzz and friends
DESCRIPTION:Mr. Phylzzz and friends\n  \n \n \n \n \nChicago spreads their net of sonic oddities throughout our great nation as two piece noise rockers Mr.Phylzzz (Amphetamine Reptile Records) returns to the road. Hot off of their tour with Melvins and Boris\, Mr.P is going to summon up the spirits of fellow two-piece trash dogs BEDTIMEMAGIC\, the wall-to-wall hedonism of Providence’s Magic Thinking Ape! Fans of stylized band names will be most pleased. \nARTIST BIOS:\nMr.Phylzzz\nFormed in 2015 by founding member Clinton Jacob as a joke. Mr.Phylzzz (pronounced Flyzzz) is an ever changing monster of noise. Over time Mr.Phylzzz has formed a heavy wall of sound filled with hooky riffs and melodic vocals- creating a chaotic storm that’s well worth the painful wall of cranked amps and exploding drums. During the growing years\, Phylzzz was doing small tours which landed them getting picked up in 2019 by Amphetamine Reptile Records (AmRep) to be featured in the legendary “Dope Guns ‘N Fucking in the Streets”  Vol 14 comp. Later that year they released their debut album “Penitent Curtis” (2019)\, followed by “Cancel Culture Club” (2022) on AmRep. In 2023 the band released “Fat Chance” on Amrep and completed a full US tour supporting The Melvins and Boris. \nThe band is Chicago based. \nMr.Phylzzz is comprised of Clinton Jacobs (guitar/vox) & Danny Sein (drums). \nBEDTIMEMAGIC\nSpicy as a very spicy thing\, BEDTIMEMAGIC is a two-dog trash rock band from Boston\, MA. They formed in 2013. They have at least three records out. Morgan Berns plays drums\, foot organ\, and does vocals. Nicholas Pentabona also does vocals\, and he plays a bass that Morgan made. It’s really loud. They really think they are dogs. It’s a thing. \nMagic Thinking Ape\nNobody thinks MTA is smelly. Nobody. If you think that\, you’re really mean. I don’t think I would want to be your friend if you think that. Magic Thinking Ape is a collection of ex-members of No Room At The Morgue and other bands playing avant-garde punk ala Dicks\, Jesus Lizard\, Suburban Lawns. Watch your language. \nHümna Humn̈a\nThese cuties will move your booties. Funkier than you probably thought they would be. FFO of Cloud Nothings\, Title Fight\, Jawbreaker\, The Breeders \nThis event is All Ages – Valid ID required for alcohol \nDoors 7:00 PM  \nShow 8:00 PM  \nTickets $15 adv / $20 day of \nNO REFUNDS \nADA Accessibility: The Rockwell is ADA Accessible with an elevator and restrooms in saloon wide enough for wheelchair use.
