SUMMARY:Red Nose Clown Workshop with Mycah Hogan
DESCRIPTION:Red Nose Clown Workshop with Mycah Hogan\n\nTiny Bullseye: Discovering the Red Nose Clown\nTHIS IS A 2-DAY WORKSHOP! You must be available for both days\n\nFor as long as there have been humans\, there have been clowns\, and this new and exciting workshop with Mycah Hogan invites you to discover your unique clown through movement\, improvisation\, and the profound depth of play. Through a combination of somatic exploration and opportunities to wear “the smallest mask in the world” (the red nose)\, participants will uncover their unique individual movement patterns and learn to amplify the physical and emotional themes that already inhabit the body. This process reveals the traces of a “personal clown”: a comic persona that is rooted in your individual truth while touching the timeless nature of laughter.Open to all—actors\, improvisers\, directors\, comedians\, dancers\, aerialists\, teachers\, facilitators\, and anyone curious about the poetry of the ridiculous. No clown experience necessary. Come with a willingness to be vulnerable\, to be incredibly stupid\, to be nothing\, to be everything\, and to explore the stuff that makes us human. We’ll explore clown as a state and the fundamentals of performance while engaging with group dynamics\, physicality\, and the art of collaborative creation. This is clown as both artistic practice and personal journey—a dance of resilience\, a celebration of what makes you uniquely\, foolishly\, beautifully you.\n\nBio\nMycah Hogan is a clown\, educator\, and community organizer. He is a performer\, director\, and one of the most innovative young teachers in the world for clown\, mask\, and physical acting. On faculty at Brown-Trinity Repertory’s MFA Program and NYU’s International Theatre Workshop\, he teaches in Amsterdam\, New York\, Philadelphia\, and in his home city of Providence\, where he is committed to generating a legendary clown scene by providing affordable\, conservatory-level actor training to the next generation of innovative theater artists.\n\n\n\n\nThis event is All ages\, though recommended for 16+\n \nThis is a 2-day workshop and you must be available for both days. \nDoors 9:30 AM  \nStart 10:00 AM  \nEnd 4:00 PM  \nWheelchair Accessibility: Please call the host at (617) 628-4444 to let you in through the elevator in The Gorin Building.

SUMMARY:Boston in 12 Massacres
DESCRIPTION:Boston in 12 Massacres\n\nA four part\, darkly humorous examination of how f***ed up Boston’s history can be\, and how we used to just end each other’s lives all the time. Presented on March 3rd\, Part One tells the story of the Mystic Massacre\, the Deer Island Massacre\, and the Salem Witchcraft Trails. Local Storyteller and social media historian Daniel Berger-Jones recounts a scintillating\, shocking\, and irreverent narrative of the facts and then discusses them with a panel of local comedians and performers. Audience members will have the opportunity to compete against the panel for $2 scratch lotto ticket prizes\, or to sit passively and drink while being horrified and amused in an evening of history\, ridicule\, ribald toasts\, drinking games\, singing\, and romping good times. All of this while discussing morbid violence\, so if you’re easily offended\, or a small and sensitive child\, this show is not for you. This performance runs approximately 75 minutes.\n\n\n\n\n TIX ADVANCE: $10-$15\nTIX DAY OF: $20 \nThis event is All ages\nValid ID required for alcohol consumption \nDoors 6:15 PM  \nShow 7:00 PM  \nLATE SEATING POLICY:\nLate seating is not guaranteed for comedy or theater.\nLate seating will end after the opener\, if there is one\, and when the headliner begins. \nWHY LIMITED LATE SEATING: Due to the architecture of our space\, the entrance is next to the stage and it is disruptive to the performer to enter late.
